pt le 5.1 midi weirdness...

i've been having this weird problem with pro tools lately, and if anyone has any suggestions, i'd appreciate it.

i've got a blue and white g3 w/ a stealth serial port connected to a motu midi express xt. right now i've only got an emu esi 4000 and a korg z1 connected. before i installed pt le 5.1, it all worked fine, but now for some reason, my z1 won't play on any other channel but the global channel. nothing has been changed in the z1, so i don't think the problem is there. and everything is working fine from the esi4000. i'm totally confused!! any suggestions????
