Hi Mike,

Try going back to version 2.5.5. of Eucon. This is the only thing that works for me. 2.5.6 and 2.5.7 seem have a lot of bugs, particularly where Logic is concerned.

I've tried all the suggestions from support as well, but none of them have worked. I get endless problems with Logic, including crashes, spinning beach balls, Blank screen on my MC transport, soft buttons staying lit when they should be off, etc, etc.

Hi -

I just tried disabling wireless connection and it actually worked fine! No error message... Enabled it, turned Euphonix on and got the error. Checked again, and with wireless disabled it finds the mix and connects fine!!

So this seems pretty positive...what would you suggest I do to have wirelss enabled and it working?

:)

Mike

This sounds like exactly what happens when Airport is not the top item listed in the Network system preference panel.

Can you double check that?

Thought you might be onto something there, but checked and Airport is the top listed item in network prefs!

Interesting. Given the info you've provided, this would seem like a system-wide problem with network settings. I'm not absolutely certain about where to go from here - it could be a system preference file needs to be trashed or it could be an OS service that's corrupting things.

At least those seem the most likely given the info. Since it seems to work at first with the new admin account, but then gets 'corrupted' and returns to the dysfunctional behavior my only recommendation at the moment is to disable Airport while working with Eucon. I know it's a pain, but I'll need to look into what else could be done to solve this.

You may consider doing an install of the Mac OS X Combo Update for the OS version you currently have installed, as doing so has fixed similar situations for other customers in some cases.

Ok, i'll try a combined update now and cross fingers! Please let me know if there's any other things you can think of to try as I do need Airport on really whilst composing.

Thanks for your help so far!

Yup no joy i'm afraid, have done a full update - Also just tried variations of the IP address from those suggested on Avid website, tried other combinations of using DHCP etc and no luck at all - I'm totally stuck!

Mike - give me a bit to look into this further, as it appears it's going to be more difficult than I thought. I've got a couple other priority cases I'm working on at the moment, but will get back to you as soon as possible.
