Is a MIX system still worth hanging on to?
Hello all, pretty old system I know. 13 slot expansion chassis fully loaded.
Put so much effort in building it back in the day. |

Only thing to consider is; do you have sessions done in SD II file format? If so, then you might hang onto the basics to open and convert old sessions. When I had my studio in Nashville, I kept a G4/Mbox 2 Pro in the closet for just that purpose(though I did only use it once or twice). Otherwise, I'm with Darryl

Last year I donated a turnkey MIX3 system to charity.
Sadly, its weakest part is computer hard drive. If it breaks and you don't have a cloned spar waiting, it is not worth finding a new old stock hard drive and re-install everything.
