Spiking CPU Usage - Microsoft OneDrive
If Pro Tools CPU usage is spiking on you and causing errors with playback on sessions that previously worked fine, the first thing I suggest is disabling Microsoft OneDrive.
A recent Windows update enabled OneDrive on my computer and caused the problems mentioned above. I couldn't find the problem and I went as far as formatting my hard drive and reinstalling Windows - but it didn't help at all! Then, when I disabled OneDrive everything immediately started working smoothly. |
