I don't think it can be upgraded to V9 more than once.
The reason I'm asking is that Diamond can be bought 2-3 times a year at a discount for $620 on Audiodeluxe (last Black Friday for example). That's V9 with TDM licenses. V8 isn't worth much these days and when iLok brakes I lose the license indefinitely, so it's very risky. Let me know if you'd reconsider the price.
