Does Music Production Toolkit 1 an upgrade?

Hi, my current specs are:

Mac OSX 10.5.4
8GB RAM
8-Cores
Pro Tools LE 7.4.9
003

I currently have Pro Tools LE 7.4.9, OSX 10.5.4 running The Music Production Toolkit 1.

My question is: After what version of Pro Tools and OSX will the Music Production Toolkit 1 become incompatible? At what point will I need to upgrade to MPT2?

There was no difference in MP1 and MP2 functionality. They only differed in what plugins were included (MP2 added Eleven LE and Structure LE).

When PT9 came out, the toolkit was discontinued because all the functionality was now built into Protools standard.

So if you upgrade to 9 or 10, you will want to first uninstall the actual toolkit, otherwise you'll get error messages. PT 9 and 10 have all the toolkit functionality, plus more tracks than were ever available with the toolkit.


However, you can still keep using the plugins that came with it, such as Hybrid, DINR, TL Space, etc. They will still work.

But you'll also want to uninstall the MP3 option, or again, you'll get errors.
