Default Best mixer for 001?

I still have 001. What is the best mixer to match 001 for eliminating latency in both playback speakers and headphone box? Looking at Mackie 1202 or Behringer Xenyx x1222usb 16 ch usb mixer w/ effects.

Sorry, I am not understanding. How does a mixer eliminate latency?

PS - I thought if you monitor the input signal with a mixer in front of 001 it eliminates latency because the signal doesn't go through the computer. I could be wrong.

Many mixers will allow you to do that.
It depends what your needs are. If you will be
doing sub-mixes before your input to the 001 you will want something good.
Mackie VLZ pro series can be picked up on eBay fairly affordable.

If you will mix only in the box and just want to hear the no latency pre 001 channel you could use something like a a Presonus monitor Station.

I see what you want to do. Yes, you can mix and monitor through a mixer and then send the mix (or iso out) to the 001.

I agree with buying a Mackie.

Thanks everyone for info. One more question. Will a Mackie VLZ 1202 work? It does not have direct outs on each channel. Can the 1202 be routed (to eliminate latency) without direct outs? Thanks again.

There is no latency on the MACKIE if you were to monitor through it and track only through your 001 without monitoring through it. Instead monitor through the MACKIE. you can use alt outs 3+4 aux 1+2, and main outs for a total of 6 outs to your 001.
