Digitest.Will it work with a Card but no interface?

Hi all, i'm hopefully picking up a 2nd-hand HD core card v.soon.

I wanted to make sure that it passed the 'Digi-test'. I have a G4 or G5 at my disposal to try the card with, before i hand over the cash.

If anyone can answer these questions, i'd be grateful.

Question> Can i check that the card passes, without an interface attached (I don't own one yet)

Question> Can i download the Digitest software on it's own? (Only the G4 current has PT installed)

Yes you can check HD Cards without an interface connected, you can move the Digitest application to your other system.

Keep in mind that DigiTest will fail the interface loopback test without an interface attached.

Ok great. The only thing is , my other system is an older install of 6.4.1 running under 10.3.x. Will this still work on my G5, which is running 10.4.x ?

Keep in mind that DigiTest will fail the interface loopback test without an interface attached.

The interface loopback test will only fail with Mix cards, Not with HD Cards. It will state that there is no interface found but will not fail. The Mix cards will fail and need an interface connected to completely test.

OK, i've currently got LE 7.4 installed on this G5.

I'm downloading HD 7.2. (I have an authorisation for it on an iLok)

Q: How do i delete 7.4 LE, as HD & LE apparently don't co-exist too happily

Q: Will the 7.2 HD install include the Digitest App?
