Default Free Bombfactory plugins

hello everyone,

I downloaded the free bombfactory plugins from the web site on my friend's PC yesterday, and burnt the zip files on a CD. WHen I tried to open them on my Mac, I wasn't able to, and got a message saying something like "you do not have permission to extract this item".

What should I do?

Thanks

Julian

If you downloaded the file and it was a zip format, it was the windows version. The Free Bomb Factory Plug-Ins for Mac OS X download file is named FreeBombFactory411LE.sit which is a Stuffit file format. I would suggest you download it again, and if you have to do it from a PC, make sure that the file name is not changed by WinZip or other windows program.

There is a slight chance that you did download the correct file and Winzip changed the file name. if that is the case, move the file from the CD to your Mac desktop and change the file name on your Mac to FreeBombFactory411LE.sit

You should be able to open it with Stuffit Expander. You may want to download the latest version of Stuffit Expander for your mac, which is free. Click on Website Help page at the top of the DUC for more help and links to Stuffit.

It was a .sit file. I transferred it off the CD to my HD, and when I tried to extract it with Stuffit, the error message said "insufficient access privileges".

For the record, I have admin status on my computer, and I went into "get info" for the file and made sure I everything was set to "read & write"
