Default can't fade: -5000 error

Hi--

I'm on PTLE 8.0.3cs2 on OSX 10.6.2. Today I opened a session from last week, and am unable to create fades, getting the error:

Quote:
Could not complete your request because
You do not have appropriate access
privileges (-5000) while creating "mwe
100525" while creating "Fade Files."
I also can't do any AudioSuite processing (which would also create new files).

I just was editing this last week with no problems, and have changed two things since then:
  1. I just installed McDSP's Retro Pack today ($195 special for three days, yeah!). But I moved these out of the plug-in folder, and still can't make the fades.
  2. I moved my sessions to a new 7200rpm firewire external hard drive (Oyen Digital minipro 500gb). This drive has "ignore ownership on this volume" checked, so permissions shouldn't be a problem. I have confirmed that I can make, edit, and delete files in the "Fade Files" folder of the session, from the Finder.

Does anyone have ideas? I can create a new session and do everything just fine; everything also works in a different session from around the same time. It seems to be just this session having this problem.

Thanks

Try creating a new session.

then do an import session data (shift+alt+I)

Navigate to the problematic session.
select all tracks,
make sure you select copy data
and import all data (markers, tempo, etc)

Hope this helps.

Go in and double check that you have write permissions to the files
if there read only, ignore ownership is a mute point
