Default physical modeling synthesis for RTAS ?

A quick DUC search found no hits on this topic.

Is physical modeling synthesis for RTAS completly non exsistant ?
All the good VI's seem sample based ?

I'v tried a couple of VST based physical modeling VI's but they sounded very low-fi.

I guess physical modeling never took off ?

It's a shame since these VI's seems to hardly use any computer resources or take any disk place compared to the sample based VI's.

Reaktor Prism seems to be (partly) a physical modeling synth:

Check out Applied Acoustics Systems. I use their Modeling Collection.
