Default 13\" macbook 1.83 core duo or core 2 duo reviews

I'm putting together a small 003 rack system for a student/potential employee to record small scale live 2-track classical recitals.

I'm currently looking at the 13" 1.83 macbooks (not "pro") and looking for any/all first hand advice or reviews from users of this computer. I'll be upping the ram to 2 gigs. No advanced mixing or mastering will be performed with this machine. There is the possibility that when the individual I'm putting this together for is familiar enough with the software and recording in general that it may be used to track up to 18 tracks simultaneously (live symphony, etc).

Any pitfalls I should be aware of or experience's leaving some of you with a bad taste in your mouth regarding this machine that I should be aware of prior to purchase?

Hi Chris,
I noticed you didn't get any posts but was wondering how your situation turned out. I'm just getting ready to buy a new laptop and the macbook 13.3" looks great to me from a travel size standpoint.

Thanks Bryan
