Here's a good tip: ALWAYS name your tracks before you start recording...this way every region will be named accordingly. Otherwise thnigs can quickly get confusing with a bunch of audio files in the bin named "Audio 01-2" and other meaningless names.

Also, anytime you record a take and you know right there you're never going to use it, double-click on it with the grabber and name is "trash" or "trash123" etc. Then later its easy to clean up your hard drive.

These are just a few things that have made my life easier...

I didn't know that one--does it delete the selected file from the hard drive?

Bad thing: To record a midi you also have to create an AUX. track to hear it. Not neccesarily so bad, but in DP or even Vision for that matter you make your midi track and GO! I'll be patient for the midi end to improve. Otherwise, I'm happy fella!!

How does that work? Are you saying that in DP and Vision a MIDI track also functions as an aux input? I don't understand how that would work...

In PT, you don't NEED an aux track for MIDI to work, you just need one if you want to monitor the MIDI sound source in the PT mixer.

Alright, picked up my unit from Sam Ash on Saturday. Figured I would post my some info on it since I have learned so much from reading the other posts here in the past month as I waited.

System Config:
G3 366mhz beige mini-tower.
160 mb mem,
2 internal hardrives, one for system, other scsi for PT audio,
internal zip and cd-rom also.

Results:
Played and worked in Demo for a bit - no prob.
imported audio(16 bit) and midi tracks from DP 2.51. - no prob.
DID NOT install OMS.... used FreeMidi already installed/configured. Just turned on OMS emulation with in FreeMidi. - no prob.
DID NOT change any system extentions or control panel settings to get PT to work. YEA!!!! (already had V.mem turned off)

Now, just need more time to work with it. Anxious to try the converters out in the i/o box.

Got mine up and running on a PowerTower Pro 225 (waiting for my G4) and Sys 9. No noticable problems. Demo ran great and I just finished recording a 12 track demo. Didn't use alot of effects but everything ran great. I am very impressed. More as I continue testing.
