Default Might buy Digi001 Factory - PC Setup???

Hello,

I'm new to the world of digital recording and a salesman in VA introduced me to the Digi001 Factory package. It looks great, but I am concerned that my PC may not handle it. If you would all be kind enough to let me know if any of you use the same setup that I am about to describe;

Dell Dimension L550r.
Intel Pentium III
Intel 810e Chipset Graphics Driver (DC133 FSB133) 4.11.01.1361

I need to upgrade to 256 MB RAM and I am going to purchase some Seagate 20GB 7200 hard drives.

Will this setup work? My biggest concern is the postings that I have read concerning motherboards/chipsets that don't work.

Thanks for the help.

-Rob

Irishb3,

Your intel system may work but I have seen many problems with Dell systems and the 001. Personally, I think that your system will work, however, not that well. If you are having to upgrade your system, I would suggest upgrading to an AMD system. AMD based systems are by FAR the best performers and they are less expensive than intel based systems. There is plenty of info in this forum for specific motherboards/CPU combinations. Find the PT Performance thread in this forum and compare for yourself
