Default Mbox Factory 2 Box - Phantom Power Problems

I've had my MBOX Factory 2 box for about 4 years and have never had any issues with the box until a few days ago. My buddy brought over a mixer that he uses for his guitars and drums, he hooked it up to the MBOX and I'm not sure if he hooked it up wrong or not, but Pro Tools threw me an error saying it needed to be restarted. Ever since then, my microphone sounds TERRIBLE when recording. It's about 60% lower volume and it has major static and weird electrical frequency feedback. I've reinstalled pro tools, reinstalled the mbox drivers, and tried other microphones etc. I know it's not my microphone because it's having issues with other microphones I've plugged in.

Is the 48v Phatom power something that can get over loaded and damaged? I don't know what happened but my guess would be maybe his mixer sent too much power to my mbox and it over loaded it? He said his mixer already has phantom power... Not sure what to do?

I m sorry to say that ,but in my opinion ,most probably the input has been damaged.Just a guess, but it is very likely.

Yeah I'm not sure, I just know it's weird. The volume on the mic in pro tools will bounce up and down, and also do other weird things rather than picking up audio. What else is weird, is I can MUTE the main instrumental track and yet when I record a audio track for vocals it picks up some of the instrumental even though it's muted. Something is very odd....
