Default Problems with Mics and Phantom Power

Arrrr... I initally loved the MBox but now I'm getting frustrated. To use my condenser mic, I use phantom power. I can hear the mic through my headphones but Pro Tools gets no signal. I have gone over my setup over and over again and can't figure it out. Then, if I turn phantom power off and just want to listen to any of my recording from Pro Tools, I only get static back through the headphones. If I reboot my machine and re-open Pro Tools, only then I can hear the music and not static. I can't be rebooting my computer over and over again.

What is going on!!!!????? Any help would be much appreciated.

Okay, I unplugged the MBox from my computer and now I can play back my music and not hear static. So, I think there's something up with phantom power. Somehow, it's screwing things up. Has anyone else experienced this?

Opps, I meant to say that I unplugged MBox from my USB port and then plugged it back in. It reset something but I certaintly can't be plugging and unplugging it on a regular basis.

Try switching phantom power on before launching PT and leave it on untill you quit PT. Also, try different USB cables, it might help.
