Let's keep this place tidy.
Please, please, people, if we pull together, we can do it.
It's nothing new, but we have been blessed with a discussion forum that for a long time has had little or none of these problems. People are posting their comments all over the internet. It's so easy, and comes with no responsibility. Therefore people trow out their frustrations and lies and whatever, and often act like kids, just because they can. They can lie, obscure issues, come off as something they're not, and obscure real issues with impunity. This is part of our online culture now. And I don't think there is anything any one can do about it in the short term. So I plead with you; the only hope for this kind of forum is if we can collectively silence the disruptive forces, whether they intend to be disruptive or not. Stop answering. Stop feeding the trolls.

Re: Let's keep this place tidy.
Has this become a problem here? I have not noticed much of that, but I tend to focus on a few specific subject categories. Hate to see infiltration of trolls, for sure.

Re: Let's keep this place tidy.
I admit I can be guilty of snark, but trying to stay on topic and not getting inflamed or acting as a troll has been good advice since 2001.
