Default Your PT 9 Rig

Now that we aren't limited to avid hardware, what are you guys using in you PT 9 set up, or what do you plan to use in your new PT 9 set up?

I honestly for the past couple months guessed something big was coming so I held off my switch to Logic. Now I am glad I didn't switch. I plan on getting PT 9 once I get my 12-core mac pro. I am now debating between a Prism Orpheus and an Apogee Symphony I/O. I mostly do mixing, so I don't really need the stability of Avid hardware. I am really excited about Avid's move. It saved me from abandoning the DAW I love.

Where will you take PT 9?

I'm going to end up using my MOTU Traveler v1, and hopefully never have to launch logic again.

Since I am an M-Powered user, I have all M-Audio interfaces, from a Transit, to a Fast Track to a Black Box Reloaded to a ProFire 610 to a ProjectMix I/O. I might have a look around now that I'm free!

Um, HD|2?

More seriously, the EuCon and UAD support looks interesting.

Well... I am torn. All of a sudden there are so many options.
Our forerunners are
1: Allen and Heath Zed-R16
2: RME Fireface UFX

Both completely different. Ones a fracken console with midi, the other is just an interface.
I like 'em both.

Ordering the Omni, and grabbing a Used HD2 for an extra rig.

Can someone clarify.

Would this mean that I could use something such as an A&H GSR24 through firewire into Pro Tools 9 directly now?

Are there any limitations at all besides the 32 channel limitation?

I came from m-powered. So I am just going to keep right on using my ProFire 610. It really is pretty ideal for me and it just happens to be a really good interface. I toted with the idea of picking up something lime the Apogee One, but I don't want to sacrifice being able to record 2 channels or more at once.

Metric Halo Family.
ULN-8 and LIO-8 for the studio
ULN-2 +dsp and 2882 (both 2D upgraded) for mobile work.

Congrats to Avid, you've gained a customer back with ProTools 9.
