Oh yeah I forgot!
...well I also got "cannot detect DirectIO" when trying to playback with WinMediaPlayer -and Direct Sound malfunctions but those have seemed to settled down. As I write this, I cant hear playback from my wave files thru Real or WMP? But that might just change when I restart my computer...and oh also, I tested with and without 001's hardware (the former being suspected the cause) the fact that sometimes when I try to restart or shut my computer off it'll just freeze at the "Windows is now shuting down" page and the power button stops working. When I "test sound" with Direct X Diagnostics it plays the first three then it says "your sound card doesnt support hardware buffering. Sounds will play back from software buffering."
So what's going here, I could be in Costa Rica teaching monkeys how to do my laundry and now my grimace-fossiled face and my hurting hair makes me think my computer thinks I'm a monkey.
