HDX and HD native prices have been reduced

Suddenly the subscription model doesn't seem so bad does it.

Hopefully this will end much of the endless whining on the DUC.

I doubt it. Remember that Cariddi was the one who said that PT11.3.2 would be a free update to all PT11 owners and then reversed course on that. I know he may only be the messenger but he's still Avid.

PT HD license = $2499 ... not what i would call cheap!

Rental (Non Perpetual) $999/year ... When you stop you loose the license.

So did we get what we asked for?

Remember the HD license is definitely NOT transferable so pay $2500 and you are stuck with that investment ...
