MBox 3 Pro - No Sound In or Out

Just got my MBox 3 Pro and have not been able to get a single trace of sound coming through my headphones or monitors, as well as no input when I plug anything in. I even tried using MBox with iTunes just as a player...still nothing.

I have removed the MBox3 from my rack and have it plugged right into my laptop. So, this is the most basic set-up with no chains. When I hit playback on a previously recorded session, the levels all show signal and everything "looks" normal, but no sound at all. I have tried to switch inputs, outputs, everything I can think of.

I am running OSX 10.5.8 with PT 8.0.4. I am still learning how to use the dialog box to adjust settings on the MBox3 Pro itself...maybe there's something in there that's muted, but I really can't figure out what it could be.

total bummer. Has anyone else had this issue? Shouldn't this all pretty much be plug and play with the MBox?

This may seem like a stupid question, but do you have the Mbox 3 selected in the Playback Engine panel of Pro Tools?

And what are you listening to(headphones, speakers....)? And where is that plugged in?

In the mbox control panel, does it say "hardware connected" and "streaming"?

Yep, I had a similar issue. For the headphones, I have headphones A and B assigned to Stereo Mix 5 in the Driver Control Panel. The DCP is labeled Mbox Pro in the Applications folder. The default outputs for your monitors are 1 and 2. Are they plugged in there? If you want to use any of the other outputs, I think you have to create an output path. I think this can be done in the DCP as well. I haven't had any issues with inputting. Hope this helps. I'm just starting to get acquainted with the Mbox 3 Pro myself....

i have my monitors in outputs 1 and 2. My headphones are in headphone input 1. Everything seems correct and I'm not exactly a newbie with the MBox, so it's been frustrating for this new MBox Pro to be so odd.

In the driver control panel, there could be a setting that's wrong, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be. I haven't changed anything. Right now, it's all on the default settings and I'm getting nothing in or out.

Does anyone have a link to a screen-shot of how the driver control panel for the MBox3 Pro should look like for correct playback and input?

The same problem here.
I have no sound using Headphone A and B outputs. When I check Output Setup in DCP they have no control knobs etc. so I can't assign them.

I'm on OS X 10.6.6.

Same issue here!
During a tracking session suddenly the sound from both Headphone outputs was gone!
The only way to fix the problem was to use the stereo outputs on the rear!
They are working fine all the time ...

What's going on here?
Digi can you test it out, and fix it?
