Default Does Editing Source Region Change Subsequent Loops?

Hi, quick question. If I have say one bar of 1/4 note hi hats (individual regions), then I group that to a 1 bar region, then I create loops of that, if I decide to mute the 3rd hh, how do I then edit the source region and have all the subsequent loops instantly reflect the edit?

I thought this was possible but I can't get PT to do that. As soon as I ungroup the source region to edit it, the loops all ungroup too???

Create your initial 1/4 note group and Loop Region say for 8 bars... Now select the group (loop) and Ungroup. Select the Group at Bar 4 (say) and Ungroup it... Mute the Second 1/4 note and regroup... Region Loop for 4 bars.

Thanks, Rail.

I see what you are saying but I'm looking for something different. I have a loop on bar 1 that goes through the entire song but is now region muted all over the place -a pain to recreate or repaste as it requires re-muting everything the same.

I thought the loops were really just aliases pointing back to the source loop so anything changed in that source would be instantly reflected in all the loops. This would be great, but is it possible? Otherwise, I don't see the advantage to a loop vs just pasting out the region???

I believe they only have Mirror editing for MIDI (when enabled) but not for Region loops.
