Pro tools no longer makes bus sub paths automatically
When creating a send or output to a new stereo track, I noticed that protools no longer automatically makes mono sub paths to the stereo bus path. Is this a pref? It’s annoying when you want to use that bus path as a key input for something else or other situations when the mono sub path is useful. I noticed this yesterday when working on a clients rig that was on 2021.12. My rig is 2020.x and I don’t have this behavior. Is this a new pref? Or is this just how it is now. Glad I’ve waited to update as this would disrupt my workflow a lot.

Re: Pro tools no longer makes bus sub paths automatically
Just check the "Auto-create sub-paths" checkbox in the new bus dialog.

Re: Pro tools no longer makes bus sub paths automatically
This applies to the busses that are created from making a send or output of a track to a new track, not creating a bus in the iO setup. And I went to the io setup and clicked that to see if it made a difference. No dice.

Re: Pro tools no longer makes bus sub paths automatically
Weird, but the only way I found to do this was to be in the Output section of the I/O - Highlight the first stereo out - stereo 1+2 - and down at the bottom of the window click "Create New Sub Path" - Select 2 for the number of sub paths and voila! It's there. Bummer is, you have to do that for each stereo pair - 32 in my case. But it worked. Very very

Re: Pro tools no longer makes bus sub paths automatically
I just came across this as well. You don't have to do it for each instance though. Just select the amount of busses you want like tracks on the left of the dialogue box.
