generating smpte from MTC

I've been locking up the 001 by converting smpte to mtc with a midi timepiece, but now I need to actually generate smpte from the 001 to have something chase it.
I tried putting PT online like my mix system but no go. Can someone please help me in the procedure of generate smpte from the 001 w/ a midi interface.
My setup is:
G4 400 AGP, 256 megs ram, Griffin Gport 2 modem serial port, motu midi timpiece(w/oms), Digi 001 w 5.0le, OS 9.04

i am terribly curious why you need a device to chase pt. for me, situations have always been solvable with some hankerin' to get pt to follow a strange machine , even if the immediate solution was for the machine to follow pt.

are you really syncing with your 001, or are you sync-triggering like 99% of the world has to?

I need my mpc 3000 (which is the master of all my midi stuff) to chase PT because the mpc cant generate & play back my sequences at the same time. Im just trying to lay all my tracks into the 001 at home @ 1 hour TC., then take my hardrives to the studio & lock my mix system to an analog deck @ 1hr tc & have the option of locking up my mpc to the analog deck w/o the 001 if need be (@1 hr tc).
Basically im relieving myself the headache of bringing my mix system back & forth everday, but the only way to do this is to have the 001 generate Tc from mtc.
I know it's not resolved but it works fine with the short songs im doing.
Can someone please help with the original post.

This is sort of on topic, but...

I'm trying to get PT5 to chase to SMPTE being fed into a MTP A/V with no luck. Is there something in FreeMIDI/OMS that I'm not paying attention to?

I used to be able to do this just fine with NUBUS ProTools Project and the original MTP.

I have almost the same problem.
I was able to transform SMPTE (from AKAIDR4d)
into MTC via MOTU´s "Micro Express".
But , than I need to use 001 as a master.
"Thay say" you should transmit MMC from
PTLE to "Micro Express" (just use ID 20, etc...) and everything .....but...never worked! ....and I´d never got som help,sorry.
I also think is some OMS-Free Midi stuff,but
...I tried to get help fro both MOTU and Digi
Thay answered back but with no solution!

Has anyone been successful in generating MTC from PtLE in any way. Im begining to think the dae/system init update didn't fix this after all.
