"Change the marker ruler selection" shortcut?

"Change the marker ruler selection" is performed by Command+Option+Left/Right Arrow according to the Pro Tools Shortcuts Guide.

What is this shortcut meant to do and between which rulers?

When I try to test it out with multiple main marker rulers in view and track markers as well, it just starts playback as it "conflicts" with "Play by pre- and post-roll value through selection start/end" which is assigned to the same keystrokes.

It's supposed to change the selection (target) main marker ruler. The one you see the red focus on so when you hit enter, that becomes the one that gets the marker.

However, they overlapped the shortcut keys. If you wipe out the other one (in Pro Tools's keyboard shortcuts settings), you'll see it work.

Meaning that it is a shortcut unrelated to track markers?

Is it similar to how Shift [ or ] moves the track marker target but instead between the main marker ruler and markers 2 for example? I don’t know why the default assignment is a conflict with an older shortcut. It just means probably it won’t get used to be honest.

Could you attach a video of what it does? Still uncertain. Thanks!
