Deleting Eucon preferences

Avid - I use the following document for info on deleting Eucon preferences for the PT Prefs trasher app (http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=340741) , has it been superseded for S3/S6? I've had two reports of it breaking S6 functionality so have removed the capability for now.
