Yup. Same thing. Pro Tools hangs and becomes unresponsive after File > Quit during when the "AUDIO FILE CATALOG" dialog box pops up. Can't get past that to actually quit the session and I have to force quit.

Pretty much 75% of the time, with or without plugins. Very annoying.

Have to force quit pretty much every day. Same on 2 different machines. Same OS. Spent a day going over plugin updates. All up to date. No difference. Wiped prefs etc.

HI Chris....

I created a case for you as well with your specifications ( Case # 04666935 ) so support can look at your system as well.

Hi Marty
Understand the frustration........ They are working on it but different variations of config's, versions and the like are impacting the ability to pin point.

Did you create a case to have your specific situation looked at? If so, what's the case # and if not - can you do that or email me direct with your Avi account email and I can do it for you.

has there been any movement/solutions for this? I have been scouring the internet trying to find a fix.

'Audio File Catalog' has been freezing up PT at least half the time I quit for the last several months.

I recently decided to renew my perpetual license - mistake - back to another DAW. It’s a shame. Vocal editing is great but the rest is crap. Some good plugins but that’s it. Anyone using this software years later is stuck I the past, sorry but I’ve used PT did years, many years experience using DAWs. This is a sorrowful demise of chat was once the leader.

Maybe it might come back but its days could be limited.
