Digi002 + (MiniMac OR RadPC) = Smooth Problem Free

I have a digi002, at the moment I'm running it with a decent PC:
amd 64bit 3200+
512 kingston ram
gigabyte k8nsnxp motherboard
300gb hdd space

But I still have a lot of problems, I formatted a few days ago, and now I can't even get protools running. Basically I'm starting to think that although my PC is fairly decent, this just isn't worth the hassle, and that I should go and buy a mini-mac and be done with it.

My question to you is, will a mini-mac handle a 002, running multiple tracks, and plug-ins?

I also work at a studio as an assistant, and attend college, both of these places use protools on a mac, so theres another advantage to me using it on a mac at home. But I don't want to pay the price, and then have latency issues.

well you'll get about a third or less of the performance you should be getting out of the PC.

check the G4 performance reports over on the mac forum.

what kind of problems are you having? if you follow the instructions in the getting started guide and the compatability documents, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.
