Default Authorizing plug-ins with iLok?

Perhaps I'm a little slow and missing something very obvious, or perhaps this process is woefully unintuitive, with help hard to come by and needlessly cryptic, and the whole thing mired in non-user-friendliness, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to authorize my plugins.

There is no explicit instruction anywhere, really. Just an iLok and an "off you go to the front lines, soldier." Sure, a ton of searching and a decent amount of reading later, and I figure out that I need to log in to iLok.com using a browser that runs on Rosetta. Then, I need to create an account, and download software that installs on my system. Then I need to log back on with the Rosetta-ified browser and "Synchronize" my iLok, which should then authorize my plugins.

Well, it worked - for five of them. Five, and only five. That leaves about 20 out of the loop, and so I can't use Maxim, d2/d3, and so on... Not only that, but every time I launch Pro Tools, I have to spend time repetitively clicking "quit". This is probably the worst time to try and contact Tech Support, and I certainly don't want to have to wait until after the holidays for an answer - I simply haven't got the time.

One day, Digi is going to have to start looking out for its customers.

Am I an idiot? What am I missing?

Default Re: Authorizing plug-ins with iLok?

Did you buy a bundle that is supposed to contain authrizations for all those plug-ins? Most likely you just installed a bunch of demos that you don't actually have licenses for.

If you can list what interface/bundle you purchased, and what plug-ins you can't authorize, we can probably be more help.

BTW, getting an ilok.com account is only necessary if you're receiving new licenses via the web that need to be downloaded to the physical iLok. You don't need to synchronize the iLok for the pre-installed digi licenses to work.
