pro tools not loading

HELP...i'm using the oo1 with a G4 and a glyph drive firewire...when i attempt to load protools during the loading a dialog box appears stating "protools hardware is either not installed or being used by by other application"....now it is installed and all the hardware connections are connected both the glyph fire wire and the oo1 if anyone has any ideas pleeze help...im on a deadline and my work is in Protools...

This could be the legendary Macintosh Sound control panel problem : turn it to Built-in if it's set to Digidesign.

Open the 'Sound' control panel.
Choose 'Built-in'
Restart.
