voices on protools 9 CPTK and 002? Ideas please
I have a total of 170 voices used in a session,( I'm sure beacuse I spent the last 15 mins counting them all!!) I'm trying to create three 5.1 audio tracks to record stems and I keep getting this message: there are more active audio or RTAS-enabled tracks than available voices.
Any idea why this is happening. I'm under the impression that protools 9 with CPTK or just HD supports 192 voices, no? If my math is any good that leaves 22 voices. All I want is 18 voices and all I can get are two 5.1 audio tracks and not three. I don't quite get why I'm maxing out and getting this message. My understanding is RTAS plug-ins do not take up voices in a native/computer host based system no matter where they are instantiated, compared to TDM systems where RTAS plugins use up voices on busses, am I wrong on this front? On another note I'd love to see protools 9 have the ability to show us how many GD voices we are actually using like on HD systems, this is a serious annoyance folks.Am I'm missing something? Thanks |
