Question New to PT9 coming from Logic (copy midi notes?)

How does one copy notes in the score editor quickly? In the MIDI editor, if I select Alt+Click, it works perfectly, but in score view, the Tool changes to an eraser, I don't need an eraser...I need an easy way to click and drag a bunch of notes for the purposes of quick chord harmony voicing and such.

I know there is a "duplicates" command, but that moves the notes to another measure.

Thanks for you help on this one.

Hi,

I'm trying copy and paste at one time with the situation described above. I need a duplicate of the notes I have selected, a duplicate which I can position where needed. What I'm trying to do is possible using ALT+Click and drag in the Midi Editor Piano Roll, I just want to be able to use the same technique in the Score and Score MIDI editor.

Select multiple notes, then using a key command, move the mouse up/down or where I would like to insert the selected notes new duplicates.

I believe you can select the notes (I tend to use the smart tool) and hold control + option to drag a copy of your selected notes.

Sorry bout that, I'm on a mac.
So for PC it must be (and I'm guessing) command + alt and drag the note.
