Default Time expand all audio to match new tempo?

I'm trying out the X-form demo and am wondering what is the best way to:

Change the overall tempo of a song and time-expand all the audio,

Thanks,

Rob

Well, the two go hand in hand. The more you time-expand a song, the slower the tempo. Compress the time, and the tempo goes up. (In other words, I hope you weren't planning on picking up the tempo and expanding the time. )

With all of these types of plug-ins, things will be less mulchy if you time expand or compress individual tracks, and mix at the new tempo. That way, you won't be trashing verb, and other added ambience and efx.

thanks lee, but what i meant was,

i want to do exactly what you're describing: time expand a song, in it's multitrack form. And I can't figure out how.

In fact, when i use x-form on one piece of audio to expand from old tempo to new tempo, (and then change the tempo of the song accordingly), the processed audio is not syncing with the midi....So I'm just failing here at every level and cant find any tutorial on this.

Would sure appreciate some tips on this.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Change all tracks to tick based.
Choose "create individual files" on the plug-in.

It works.
X-Form sounds good and works slowly like everyone says.

But I would be interested to know if this is process is covered in any manual.

thanks,
rob
