Just confirming that uninstalling the iLok manager is as simple as deleting the app and searching for and deleting library files?
I'm going to start again want to ensure I don't create more issues - I couldn't find specific info on uninstalling on the iLok site. |

Just confirming that the installer I downloaded from the iLok site was: v2.2.1 r23238

Does the uninstaller even work?
After I: – Ran the uninstaller – Restarted – Ran the installer – Restarted The fresh install of ILok manager knew my account details and logged in? I logged out of the account and logged back in but I still see the same unhelpful error. |

I also have an iLok 1 that contains a ProTools 10 license - could this be interfering somehow?
I'm trying to use the iLok2 for ProTools 11 but it wouldn't surprise me if there's seems kind of conflict going on as this all seems overly complex. |

So it turns out that the iLok uninstaller doesn't remove everything, you alos need to remove (if present) the following:
I'm about to do a proper uninstall and start again. |

What are you doing which throws this error?
To be safe try logging in with only one iLok attached. Right click on the license and try the 'activate' option rather than dragging.

OK, so this time the iLok manager required me to login but I still see the same non-specific error:
I also transfered my ProTools 10 license from the iLok 1 to the iLok 2 so it seems to be something specific about the ProTools 11 license. |

OK, have gone through every menu item and clicked every button and noticed that if I clicked the ProTools 11 license, I see a message about 'surrendering' the ProTools 10 license - who comes up with this terminology?
So have now gone through that process and have the licensees on the iLok 2. Obviously there's a bug in that error screen which is supposed to explain that you need to surrender your license? Glad that's over with. |
