Elementary Sampletank and MBOX Questions

Hi. I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find any info..

So I'm have Pro Tools and am using the MBOX. I recently installed Sampletank and was psyched when I saw all the different instruments that can be used.. But, I'm a novice..

Can someone tell me what exactly I need in order to get this going? As of right now I don't have any Midi devices..

Do I need to just buy a Midi Keyboard? And if so, is that all I will need?

You can draw notes on a MIDI track to get some sounds until you get a keyboard..You will also need a MIDI interface if you don't already have one..You can also import MIDI files onto a MIDI track and play those with your Sampletank.Basically you need MIDI notes for the Sampletank to play.If you have the XL version you can play the little keyboard to audition the sounds.

So, does it go like this?

The keyboard goes into the MBOX...The MBOX goes to the Midi Interface... and the Midi Interface goes into the USB port of my PC?

No, the keyboard goes into the MIDI interface, which then goes into a USB port, or keyboard into PCI soundcard, if you have one with MIDI.The Mbox stays as it is.
