Session corrupted?

Hello,

I'm having an issue with a session that's gone bad. While it's loading I hear a few beeps then when it's up and running no sound is routed to the master fader. Sometimes every button i hit also causes an error.

Other sessions recall fine.

I've trashed databases and pref's. I've tried to use all the backup's. I've started a new session and imported the bad one.

8.0.1cs1, just wondering if this has happened to someone before and there is a cure i could use.

One of the things you could try is creating a new session and importing session data a track at a time to see where the issue is.

Or u could also hold shift as u load the session; that way u can see if its a plug or plug combo thatz giving u probz...

I was copying the back up drive when i posted before, and was able to reload the midi and edited vocals back unto the session. It's metal. So i recovered the editing, that's all that matters.

I will look into the shift thing to try and figure out what went so terribly wrong.

It's just weird that as i was looking into the setting i had on another session and when i went back , bam , no go.

The interview with Kurt Ballou in the new tape op opened my eyes, keeping all the songs in the same session. Duh! It's metal. i've been spending so much time copying [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] down and pasting it to another session so the album will sound the same.
