Firewire video output in ProTools LE
I am in the process of demoing the Echo Fire software by Synthetic Aperture, using Digidesign's ProTools LE v. 5.1.1. I have a 400Mg PCI G4 using a Yikes mother board. Once you've seen past the thorough but quirky explanations in the pdf Manual (it'd be nice if the manual was a separate download) it seems to work quite well except that I am having a little trouble doing all the configuring e.g. I haven't discovered the way to get time-code read-outs on the video output.
These items need interpreting:- • When parking the video on a frame this doesn't do the spotting of sounds to that frame (should it send a reference T/C back to ProTools?) • Scrolling the tracks in the edit window on play produces a stuttering in the video O/P when the window is clicking to the next position in the time line. If someone has experience with these things I would greatly appreciate your comments and advice. [email protected] |
