Mbox Question for Digidesign
1. Do the inserts on the Mbox come after the Mic/Line/Instrument inputs and right before the A/D converters? If not then where do they come in the signal path of Mbox?
2. Is it possible to patch the outputs of external Mic Preamps into the insert returns of the Mbox?

1. The TRS inserts are (obviously) after the Mic/Line/D.I. input, and before the A/D converter. The TRS inserts are part of the overall Focusrite preamp circuitry found in Mbox.
2. You can connect an external device (such as a mic pre) to the TRS inserts of Mbox, but doing this does not completely bypass the preamp circuitry.
