Default Bit 3 - 13 slot chassis w/ 11 node cable. Skip 4th node?

I just added another farm card to my system and had to upgrade from a 5 node cable to an 11 node cable. I have my cards in this order: 1 mix farm, 1 d-24, 3 farms, 1 sc2 w/ daughterboard, and 2 sc 2 cards w/o daughterboard. Anyway, I saw that with a bit 3 7 slot expansion chassis, you need to not use the 4th node on the ribbon. Is this also the case with the 13 slot chassis? My sc 2 card with the daughterboard is failing w/ digitest and I can't bring samples digitally into Pro Tools. It's the 6th card in line. Please advise. Thanks....

No, it is not necessary to skip Node #4 on the TDM ribbon cable in your system.

In the Expanded Systems Guide for the Bit-3, 13 slot chassis, you should skip slot #1. Is this the way you have your cards installed?

If the SC card continues to fail DigiTest, remove a DSP Farm and move the SC card up a slot. Any difference? (be sure and trash the DigiSetup file whenever making a change in card order)
