Digi002 Video Monitor Resolution?
Hello,
VERY basic question, but I need to know quickly and can't find anything in the archives... I just received my Digi002 and noticed that on the box it specifies 1024 x 768 resolution for the video monitor. I just bought a new 19" wide screen flat panel last night to dedicate to the 002, but it has a native resolution of 1440 x 900. I had just figured "the more space the better". When DigiDesign specifies 1024 x 768, are they talking about a minimum resolution, or does the software actually look better in this configuration? I really need to find out quickly so that I can return my new monitor if I've made a mistake... Thanks! EarBud

VanAmp,
Thanks. You're the only one who responded, so there must not be any disagreement with your assessment :>) I guess I'll keep the monitor. Thanks again. EarBud

Re: Digi002 Video Monitor Resolution?
My display runs at 1920 x 1200 as it's "native" resolution. PT LE looks great. Use the resolution your monitor is best at. The recommendation is just that, a recommendation. You can have a resolution below 1024 x 728, but some parts of PT LE will "lost".
Cheers,

Re: Digi002 Video Monitor Resolution?
Bruce,
Since you're running at a resolution higher than mine, I guess I can officially stop worrying about this issue. Thanks for raising my comfort level! EarBud

Re: Digi002 Video Monitor Resolution?
You should be fine. I am running a 22" widescreen at its native rez(1680x1150 or something like that) and it looks great. As long as your video card can provide the native rez of the monitor, all should be good.
