Mid-Side matrix?

Is there an MS matrix for Protools LE? I see in an earlier post that you can duplicate the S channel and reverse its phase, but I'd rather just insert a process into the mixer that would do that for me within a stereo stream (ideally for free!).

Waves offers their "SI MS Matrix" in the Gold Bundle.

I want to experiment with mid-side recording (a figure 8 and cardioid), and figured out the basic mixer configuration to achieve stereo, but not how to use the SI MS Matrix plug in.

I've read the Waves manual regarding the S1 MS Matrix, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to use it. Where do I insert this? If I insert it on the figure 8 mic, nothing appears to happen other than one of the two channels drops out. That can't be right.

I wrote to Wave tech support and even they couldn't tell me how to use it! They suggested that I do a search on the Digidesign user forums. What kind of support is that?

Make your recording a stereo file with the Cardioid on one side and the Fig 8 on the other. Then apply the waves S1 to the stereo track as an insert. There is an MS decoder preset, if I remember right. Use the S1 controls to adjust the width, etc. You can read about this in the Waves manual for the S1. Works quite nice!
