Restoring an old session and files

So here in 2024, how would I go about restoring a PT session from 2002?There are several problems. First it's on a DVD backup and shows as unix executable files. Second, I don't remember the PT version it was made with. I've tried renaming the session file as .pts, ptf, pt5......Even if I could just access the audio files would be good. I've tried renaming audio files to .wav, .aif and sd2 with no success. Even if I could find an old machine that might run something at least as old as PT 10, I'm still not sure this is possible. I've searched the forum and apps like Soundhack no longer work and the suggestions don't apply or aren't possible on a silicon Mac. Any thoughts?
