Default Brainstorming and shopping for new build. It's been a while and could use some help.

Hi,

It's been quite a while since I kept up on the computer components game for PT and I'm hoping some of you guys can help me from doing something catastrophic with my choices. My PTHD cards are the original cards. They are PCIx.....right? I forget. :)

One thing I need that many PT rigs won't is a fairly robust video card so I can do video editing on this computer also without issues.

I need enough memory to run some pretty demanding software like LASS and Omnisphere etc, BUT I don't want to go overboard and spend money on extra memory that I don't really need.

If you don't mind, would you throw in your recommendations for the following components:

MOBO
Video card-One that will handle heavy video editing and work with PTHD
CPU
CPU fan
Memory-amount, brand and speed
Power supply
Case that will hold those HUGE cards. :)
SSD for system drive

Also, are any of you using SSD's for your audio drives and how are they performing?

I know this is a lot to ask, but the info on the sticky seems pretty outdated. From browsing the forum, it appears that the JetWay JNAF92-Q67 might be a good way to go for mobo, but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks very much in advance,
Steve
