Lion & Protools 9 - Working Plugin List

I have 2 plugins that don't work: MTron Pro and IK Philharmonik. Anyone who wants to start a list with those two, feel free! I suspect it will be a short list.

Duende I don't have, I do have Phil Harmonik and Solid Synth Both working for me. Including Classik Reverb

I have both of those and they work for me. Check your permissions in /Library/Application Support. You're probably lacking write permissions on the underlying folders and contents for these plugs/apps (GForce and IK Multimedia). Only change these if you know what you're doing and have a good backup. Lion has tightened things up a little.

If you are having trouble authorizing the IK stuff, they have a note on their site on additional permissions issues.

I still can't get RX2 running on 9.0.5...... but I bet the Beta release from Izotope would work.

Native Instruments to the non-working list:

MAC OS X 10.7 COMPATIBILITY INFO
This page provides information about the compatibility of Native Instruments products with the Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion" operating system. It has last been updated on July 27th, 2011.

Native Instruments has found an issue in its initial compatibility tests that causes the 64-bit versions of NI applications to crash in Mac OS X 10.7 both when used stand-alone and as a plug-in.* The cause of this issue has been successfully determined, and fixes for the affected products are currently in development, with the respective updates planned for release in September or earlier.(TODAY???)

Native Instruments is currently conducting further systematic tests with
the official release version of Mac OS X 10.7, and new information will be provided on this page as it becomes available. In the meantime, users should consider to refrain from updating to the new operating system version until the compatibility of current NI products is fully confirmed. (Too late for that, but I kept Snow on a separate drive, so all's well)


* Please note that all versions of TRAKTOR and KORE are 32-bit applications only, and therefore not affected by this issue regardless.

The NI stuff runs on Lion in 32 bit mode. You can select this mode in Get Info on the app if you want to run the instruments standalone. So, yes and no, it doesn't run 64 bit, but runs fine in 32 bit mode (which is what PT needs and I believe loads anyway).

I was looking at the Izotope RX2 for PT9, but running W7/64. My system is a powerhouse but I've read of some issues trying RX2 in PT9HD/W7/64. Have you heard of anything like this? I am using Ozone 4 and Stutter without any issues but before I purchase the RX2 I was just sniffing around for some input from anyone...

I definately stand corrected
I shall bow to you(what we do in japan), and use that info to get everything working! Those were the only plugs that I have that kept crashing. Thanks for the work around
