So after more postpones than Frank Sinatra has made comebacks - t.c.electronic finally releases this beast for TDM.

I am demoing as we speak - this fare (30 Minutes into a session) I have to claim that the world of digital compression has a new Kay I EN GEE --- Awesome cant describe 10% of what this one sounds like

old news...i demoed this months ago and wasn't that impressed; i own 2 CL1B's and it didn't really come close. i don't know about tc and the analog modeling world...however; their System 6000 TDM reverbs are off the hook - the only reverb plug that has me considering selling my 960L.

$799 - at Sweetwater.... Yeah - it is a high price to pay.... especially compared to other plugs. But that is just it... You cant compare it to other plugs. Its too damn good.

Price … Yes - TDM Swallower : Yes - 1 Compressor = DSP @ 48k... But then again:

I paid $5000 for my Manley VARI-MU and even more for my slam. And they are also just ONE compressor. I dont really think that 799 is a whole lot for this plug. After hearing it, I'd be willing to pay $2000 for it.

I think people should stop thinking that just cuz its software it should be cheap. People gladly pay big bucks 4 Manley cuz its hardware - I dont really care whether software or hardware - I buy the sound not the medium. In addition - to me buying a compressor that is cheap and not real good is waste of good money. E.g paying 595 for Smack to me would be like wasting 595 - so instead I'D rather pay 799 which is more but with this buy I waste no money - so In my book I have save 595 although I have paid 799... Bu then again : Maybe its my Half American Half Danish Heart that makes no sense at all

I'm sorry - I did not know that it had been out for a while - At least last week tc did NOT offer any demos or downloads...???

I cannot tell how it compares to the real deal - I dont own one. But I have a VARI-MU and a UREI 1176 hardware - and this plug is the only one who can actually get in the ring with those... So I am getting it

i demo'ed this PI and, while it compares favorably to other in the box dynamics it doesn't compare well to hardware...particularly NOT to its own hardware version etc. the price point is silly IMO.

I own a real one of these. I paid $750. for it (a very good deal). I'd buy another one before I'd pay that kind of money for a plugin of it. Plus it eats chips for breakfast. I'll pass...
