Is there a grace period with perp license renewal?

It’s 30 days from expiration. But now it doesn’t matter. The cost of “renewal” and reinstatement are the same. So there’s no penalty.

Remember that if you are relying on Avid Complete Plugin Bundle plugins they are technically a subscription and will stop working when your support/update plan expires even as Pro Tools itself keeps working. But when you do renew the support/update plan they'll start working again.

And this is the reason I still don't use these plugins. (That and the fact that I've got equivalents to most of them anyway.)

Perpetual licenses are perpetual.

Do you mean for those on a yearly upgrade fee that gives access to "product updates, support, Inner Circle rewards, Sonic Drop content, and more?"

I honestly wish there was a way for this to be a reoccurring payment so I don't have to worry about forgetting and losing access to plugins or the the current PT version but Avid said that at the moment you have to manually reinstate it when I asked them on the phone.

What are you replying to? Does who mean what? As already clearly stated ACPB licensing that comes with the update/support plan for a perpetual license is itself a subscription.

It is the yearly license. A lot of unforeseen things all came on the 1st, I just wanted to know if there was a buffer so I can do it in a week or so.

I have another license for studio I paid the annual on and that has all of updates support, plug ins etc as well.

I think 30 days is fine. Just couldn't find the answer quickly.
