Default nobody interested in 96 Khz???

I talked to a digi guy yesterday about the upcoming products, and apparently few people are interested in working 24bits/96Khz.
Digi is doing some researches in that domain but have no immediate plans with it. If enough peple are requesting it, they could release a new PT24/96 card within 6 months or a year.
So I'll say it loud:

YES, I'd LOVE TO UPGRADE TO 24/96!!

Thank you for hearing it.

blairl,

exactly what competitor has a working 64 track daw-system with tdm comparable mixing and can deliver it today??

I am not terribly in a rush to get 96k.

96K its the future, but at first they must FIX the TDM architecture because every element interacts whit each other and you don't have consistency in PT mixer even the grouping of faders change the sound. Faders in 0 position pan L< >R no master fader try to turn grouping on and off and listen.... goodbye perfect digital clone.

I have many examples of strange things going on in PT mixer that i want to report to Digi. This was the funny own.

When I say I hope digidesign will catch up, I am refering to high resolution audio. I realize and greatly apreciate the fact that Pro Tools delivers 64 tracks with plug-ins galore that nobody else has. I am also aware of the nightmares Sonic Solution users are having with tech support etc... Pro Tools is great. Let's get the high resolution audio going too and have Pro Tools be the de facto STANDARD in ALL areas.

None of them do. I'm just asking for Pro Tools to be ALL things to ALL users. Why not? I don't know how long it will take, but I thought I'd ask.
