Default Pro Tools 2023.3 with Mojave 10.14.6 Issues

Is anybody running ProTools 2023.3 with Mac Mojave 10.14.6? If so, are there any issues you have noticed? Does it work correctly? ARA working?

I searched the DUC but found no entries for these questions.Thanks.

It's not supported anymore. Not sure you would want to use it either. I enjoyed it for a time, but that was on a 9 yr old computer. Maybe not that helpful to you, but I would not recommend it simply because Avid will not support it and if something arises, they will say, "we don't officially support this OS on the current version of ProTools". I went from Mojave to Catalina and then right to Monterey on my current previous Mac Studio. Will got to Ventura at some point, but not needing to as everything is solid.
Best.

You can change the name of your current pro tools icon to PT 2021.12 and Install 2023.3 and name it that.
You can have multiple versions of pro tools installed now.

While 10.14.6 isn't officially supported or tested, AVID says you should be able to use it.
So go ahead and install it and test it. Just make sure to rename your current version.

I have been running Pro Tools 2023.3 for several months now on Mojave. The only issue that I have run across is that under ignore Errors During Playback/Record, if I have "Minimize Additional I/O Latency" selected, the session keeps stalling and suggest a CPU Overload. Once unchecked, this problem went away.

Anyone tried 2023.9 on Mojave?

It's worth switching to Monterey. I used PT 2022/23 on Mojave on Cheesegrater 5,1 for a long time and the things that bothered me with Mojave are working with Monterey. The performance is similar, but for example the windows handling is so much better - i use 3 monitors, and PT now remembers positions of all the windows when saving the session. Much better. I highly recommend leaving Mojave behind.

Hi.
I’m glad I found this post.
I updated to 2023.3 from 2022.9 and had nothing but problems.
Beachballs, CPU errors and crashes.
I thought it might be plug ins, changed buffer sizes.
Checked and unchecked every box. Took screen shots of everything.
New sessions would stall before I even added tracks.
The 4th Core was always at 100% in every case.
All the other cores were up over 50% with no audio. No tracks added. Just open.
I thought it might be the Apple DVI Cinema Display that I was using.
In the end I went back to a clone HD which had 2022.9 installed pre the update.
Every single problem went away.
2023.3 is not for Mojave I can tell you that.
After I clone this drive again, I’ll go back to the 2023.3 drive and update it to 2023.9 and let you know.
Probably next week.

… yes, I need to update my signature info.
Currently running Mac OSX Mojave 10.14.6 & Pro Tools 2022.9 with an HD Native card.

Which version of Monterey?

The latest (12.7.1) is fine.

Thanks.

Anyone using Catalina with PT 2023.6?

I've finally gotten to a place where things are working with PT 2023.6 using the 2023.3 HD Driver.
I'm still testing but using the same session and going back a forth between 2022.9 & 2023.6 everything seems to be working as it should.

Now it's testing the plugins time.
I just got the UAD plugins working with a firmware update.
Softtube, Sonnox, SoundToys, TC, Waves are all working.
I'm working my way up the manufacturer's list.
