Install question

I bought Pro tool8 a while back and have been using it with my PC. I have recently purchased a MAC. The Pro tools disk came with a Mac version as well.

If I install the Mac version on my Mac, will it need the hardware dongle? Because the PC version needs the hardware dongle so i won't be able to use it, unless i take it out of my PC, which I would rather not do.

You may want to check the compatibility or your Pro Tools 8 with the operating system of your Mac here before you install your Pro Tools 8

Before PT9 was released, PT LE only worked with Digidesign interfaces, so yes, you will need to keep using that same interface whether you use PC or MAC.

If on the other hand you're talking about PT HD, then the license is on the iLok dongle which you need to move to the computer you're using.
