install le 7 question help?

i installed LE 7 but was not connected to the internet..everything went fine but i couldn't install extra software because it wanted to verify on line...now that i am hooked up to the net..do i have to reinstall everything again to get the extra's? also, is 7.1 free? thanks

What "extras" are you talking about? Are you talking about the ignition pack containing lite versions of several pieces of software that comes free with most Digidesign software?

Or are you talking about the "additional software" that is included (NOT for free) on the installation disk?

We really need to know which specific pieces of software are asking for authorizations.



Pro Tools 7.1 is a free download for all Pro Tools 7.0 owners, and can be downloaded here.

when i installed the installer disk, things came up on the screen...asking to be verified..i never installed any other disks

Then you installed things from the installer disk (or even during Pro Tools installation) that are NOT free (for instance; MP3 Option, Digitranslator, etc. and is why I asked for specifics). You will need to purchase them or remove them to stop the popups.

i dont think they installed as they popped up and asked to verify which i assume means online...i was offline at the time of the install...nothing is popping up

Please. It will be much easier to give you specific answers to your specific problem if you give us specifics!


You do not need to be connected to the internet for anything regarding Pro Tools. Being connected makes some things easier, but it is not necessary, nor will connecting to the internet make things happen that don't when you aren't connected.
